For example, one of our customers fell in love with an antique four poster bed they saw while on holiday. They supplied us with a photo and described the bed to us, and our custom furniture specialists worked with the customer to create detailed specifications and a working design. We then created a replica of the bed (seen below in the raw) that matched their photo exactly, resulting in a beautiful reproduction four poster bed and one very satisfied customer.
In another instance, a customer wanted to create an entertainment centre to match an existing piece of furniture in their home. We created a detailed technical drawing (below) and then worked with the customer to pick the finish and detail so that the resulting entertainment centre matched their furniture perfectly.
Furthermore, all of Hudson Furniture’s standard pieces of furniture can be customised to suit your needs. We can change the dimensions, configuration, finishes, fabrics and handles. With this array of options we can create a piece of custom made furniture for either your home or office that is tailored precisely to your requirements.
For all custom orders we require a 30% deposit up front. We then present for your approval our technical drawings, which can be altered as many times as required. Once the design is approved the production time for custom orders is generally about 12 to 14 weeks.
