Is all your furniture completely handmade or is there a part machine process – No machines are used in our process at all. All carvings and detail, no matter how intricate are all done by hand. With the beds, each piece is created out of the same piece of timber, thus ensuring a perfect fit when assembled at its destination. Q. What if I am looking for a particular item to complete a set and cannot find it? If you are looking for something unique and have an idea in mind, we would be happy to work with you to create what you are looking for. There is a longer timeframe for this service. Please see our custom made section for more details. Q. Can I come and view the furniture before I buy? Rather than having a showroom, we operate from a warehouse unit in Rozelle. As this reduces our overheads, we are able to pass on these savings which reflects in our competitive prices. If there is a specific piece you would like to look at prior to buying, please contact us to arrange a viewing and we will have someone available to meet you. Q. Do I have to buy online? We offer free delivery around the Sydney metro area. For the rest of NSW and Australia wide, we can help arrange a specialist furniture mover for your goods. Please contact us via our enquiry form or call us with your details. Q. We don’t need delivery for a while and not sure of when we will need it. Can you help? A frequent question. Often customers want to buy bedroom furniture in preparation for a new house move or renovation of an existing property. If you are unable to take delivery of your furniture when it is ready, we are happy to store it for you free of charge for up to 2 months, as long as the items have been paid for in full. Q. What care does your furniture require? Just the usual upkeep of dusting, either with a damp cloth or household polish. Keep away from any direct heat sources. Q. How long can we expect the furniture to last? Our furniture is made from solid mahogany, kiln dried hardwood with a high quality, hard wearing finish. If treated with care and not mistreated, our furniture should last longer than a lifetime. They should be regarded as potential heirlooms to last generations. Q. Do your beds come assembled? All beds are ready for shipping in four separate packages including a headboard, footboard, a pack containing side rails and finally one for slats. With the four poster beds, they have two further packages which contain the roof surrounds and curtain poles. Q. What supports the mattress? There are 15 hardwood slats supported by a central solid beam. This fits from the headboard to the footboard through the middle of the bed. Q. What tools are required to assemble your beds? A thin screwdriver or Alan key is required to tighten our custom made bolts. Q. How do the beds go together? The beds are very simple to erect. Each fitting is clearly lettered and it is a case of matching up each pair of letters. The male/female brackets for each corner are then secured with a brass bolt. Q. What if we do not like our furniture and does not meet our expectations? We endeavour with our picture policy and descriptions to represent our furniture to the point of ‘what you see is what you get’ and there should be little room left for your expectations to be different from what we represent. In the case of this not happening we will accept returns provided they are in the same condition as sent and we are given notice within 7 days of receipt of goods. We can not accept responsibility for accidental damage to items during assembly and movement to appropriate rooms in your home.
